What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.

Prompt Response: I think that it can be hard to work in groups when you do not distribute the work so that it is all done efficiently. When there is that one person who doesn't want to do any work and always says they will but waits until that last minute and then make the slides a different color or something. Some people just are very difficult to work with and sometimes you are just going to have to deal with it. I had a project my freshman year and there were two other people in it and they did not want to do any of the work so I ended up carrying the group and doing most of the work.

Summary: More work with rhetoric.

Reflection: I learned how to format my body paragraph for a rhetorical essay.

In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel?

After reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity," which explores the poet's daring craft, write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.
