Prompt Response: A time I felt like an interloper was when I came to lakeside because where I went to middle school was very far from here so I didn't know that many people. Having to get myself into friend groups at first felt like I was out of place. I don't like having to go through that, I don't think anyone does, but you need to and it is an important skill in life. The only effect it really had was making me try harder to be apart of whatever group because I didn't want to be in that spot anymore. Summary: I did the common lit. Reflection: I learned about human/nature relationships and how they can be told in a story.
Prompt Response: A time I encountered a homeless man was when we were outside a Waffle House and he just started talking to us. He later told us he was blind. I felt really bad and kind of wondered how he ended up on the streets. It makes me sad to see homeless people even if a lot of their time it is their fault for abusing drugs or other substances. Summary: I was absent Reflection: I was absent
Prompt Response: A personal experience that I have had that was absurd was when I was driving home a couple weeks ago from school. Everything was normal and I was about half way home and I was pulling up to multiple intersections. I had three green lights ahead of me so I kept going straight because I had the right of way. As I glanced across the road I saw a car pull up from a side street looking to merge into traffic. I didn't think much of it because I was going fast enough for it to be impossible for them to make the gap. But they decided to gun it and they did miss the gap and ended up slamming into the side of me. I tried to swerve but there was no time. After that I stopped on the road and they ran from the crime scene. Summary: We analyzed another poem. Reflection: I learned how comparison can be used in poetry.
