 Prompt Response: I think that hands-on activities are the best for learning. I say this because worksheets are very boring and do not really engage the student very much. Nobody wants to do a packet. Class discussions are better but it is hard for everyone to do work and learn when you are just talking about something as a group. I think that it is hard to remember things when all you do is talk about them. I think that hands on activities are the most engaging and also you are able to remember and retain information better. Maybe that is just me though because that is how I learn best. 

Summary: I finished my poem and started my poster.

Reflection: I learned how to make a voice over in Adobe express.

  Prompt Response:  My approach to creativity is usually just me thinkin of ideas and then I do my best to execute them. I don't really have a whole plan or anything when I'm doing something creative, things just come to me. And for a project that I am most proud of I am not really sure. Maybe something that I made on my uncles pottery wheel because it was really hard to make. I don't really do a whole lot of creative projects anymore, even for school I just want to get a good grade and get it done. Summary: We did a writable. Reflection:  I learned new vocab.

In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

  Prompt Response:  A time I felt like an interloper was when I came to lakeside because where I went to middle school was very far from here so I didn't know that many people. Having to get myself into friend groups at first felt like I was out of place. I don't like having to go through that, I don't think anyone does, but you need to and it is an important skill in life. The only effect it really had was making me try harder to be apart of whatever group because I didn't want to be in that spot anymore.  Summary: I did the common lit. Reflection:  I learned about human/nature relationships and how they can be told in a story.

After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

  Prompt Response:  A time when I was in danger was when a car T-boned me on the way home from school. I had to quickly swerve out of the way to minimize the damage. But if I swerved too much then I would have gone into oncoming traffic. If I was not paying attention than someone could have gotten hurt.  Summary: We analyzed a poem. Reflection:  I learned about Robert Frost.
