Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

 Prompt Response: A relationship that I have had, and still do have is between me and my brother. When we were younger we wouldn't always get along and we would fight and do all that kinda stuff. But a big part of it was that we would get jealous of each other if one us got more ice cream or something small like that. It sounds really silly when I explain it but when I look back I really wish that we knew how ridiculous it was so that we could just be happier and be basically friends. Not that we didn't get along I just wish that we had more time together where we could just hang out and do stuff because he is in college now and I don't really get to see him much anymore. 

Summary: We got put into groups and worked on a presentation about analyzing a Native American story. 

Reflection: Today I learned a moral from the story and that is that you should always be kind to those who help you because you might look back and regret it.

  Prompt Response:  My approach to creativity is usually just me thinkin of ideas and then I do my best to execute them. I don't really have a whole plan or anything when I'm doing something creative, things just come to me. And for a project that I am most proud of I am not really sure. Maybe something that I made on my uncles pottery wheel because it was really hard to make. In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

  Prompt Response:  A time I felt like an interloper was when I came to lakeside because where I went to middle school was very far from here so I didn't know that many people. Having to get myself into friend groups at first felt like I was out of place. I don't like having to go through that, I don't think anyone does, but you need to and it is an important skill in life. The only effect it really had was making me try harder to be apart of whatever group because I didn't want to be in that spot anymore.  Summary: I did the common lit. Reflection:  I learned about human/nature relationships and how they can be told in a story.

After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

  Prompt Response:  A time when I was in danger was when a car T-boned me on the way home from school. I had to quickly swerve out of the way to minimize the damage. But if I swerved too much then I would have gone into oncoming traffic. If I was not paying attention than someone could have gotten hurt.  Summary: We analyzed a poem. Reflection:  I learned about Robert Frost.
