Analyze how you’ve adapted to the demands of this course over the past week, and evaluate one strength and one challenge you anticipate as we progress, justifying your insights with personal examples.

Prompt Response: I have had to adapt by changing how I remember my homework. Usually I can just remember what I have for a certain class but now that I have a daily blog I really want to make sure I get it done every day so I have made a list on my desk to remind my self of the blog and other things I need to do. I think a strength that I have in this class is that I do not mind putting in extra time outside of class if I need to. I have spent many night staying up late because I have a lot of last minute assignments given out. A challenge is going to be doing lots of reading in a short time because I am a slow reader. I just always have all my life been a slow reader, through middle school into high school.

Summary: We took a quiz over an origin myth.

Reflection: I learned about test taking strategies.

In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel?

After reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity," which explores the poet's daring craft, write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.
